FTP file read and write

I have a very basic requirement of generating an XML file and putting into a remote ftp folder,

similarily I will pick a designated XML file, read it in NetSuite and process the data as records in NetSuite.

Can anyone suggest what is the best approach given the need ?

i need to write the code in NetSuite (Scheduled Script) which will run once a day and submit the file to ftp and pick another file from the ftp (after loggin into the ftp).

I have all the stuff done, other than File commands (copy file to ftp etc.)

Please provide suggestions.
