Suitescript to get Promotions Object

Hi,

Im working on a project at the moment which requires access to the Advanced Promotions object.

We are looking into whether it is possible to pass in an array of item internal ID's and a promotion code into an object of some kind that will have Netsuite handle the rules that we create within an Advanced Promotion Code.

Ideally I would like to know whether this is possible or whether we would have to do any additional scripting on the records that are returned, or whether the object it self handles the processing of a collection of items within the object and returns the results
