Is there any way to get all scriptable records to an array with suitescript?

I am creating an audit or viewing of records, and it is made easier if i deploy it to all records, however I then need to determine which record type it is to then add a custom name and custom field value to the data.

Is there any way to get a records name by its internal id also?
Is there any way to get the identifier field for a record - such as tranid for transactions, casenumber for cases etc?
