Before Submit Function vs Saved Record

edited Dec 2, 2019 5:50PM in SuiteCloud / Customization 4 comments

Hi guys,

First of all thanks for your help and this forum. It is an invaluable help.

I am a bit confused with how Before Submit Function for User Event Script and Saved Record for Client scripts works.

All that I need to do is to execute a piece of code that loads a parent record, do something and submit such record. However  I just want to do this for new records. Those existing records that are edited are excluded of this behaviour.

I have a problem here. If I place this code in a Client Script everything works fine but I can't predict whether the record being created is new or not. Or at least I have no idea how to do it.

Howdy, Stranger!
