Retrieving the value of an array column

Help please!!

I am running a script with a nlapisearchrecord which is pulling in a list of transactions which are grouped by account and a Sum of amount.

The array is being populated with all the data I need and what I want to do is from each instance in the array I want to take the value of Columns[1] and add it to an variable total and then loop through each array instance and increment that total.  So hopefully at the end I will get a total of all the amounts Column found in the array from Columns[1].  But I seem to be having trouble accessing that Columns value.
