Scheduled Scripts taking over 30 minutes to start

Hi,

For the past 1-2 months we have started to see our scheduled scripts take 30 minutes to even start. The run normally once they start but 30 minutes is way too long a timeframe for our business to run effectively. We issued a ticket and even asked if there is a feature like dedicated server that would improve on this timeframe but we were told that dedicated server wouldn't even improve script start and run times.

Can anyone shed some light on how scripts are queued (they told be that a script scheduler polls every five minutes and then assigns based on first come first served)?
