Possible to show tab through scripting / workflow?

Here is the situation:
We control who can changes a sales rep on a customer by the form.  The sales reps cannot change the sales rep of a customer because the sales rep tab is hidden on their customer form. 

However,
We now need 1 sales rep to have this permission.  I'd rather not have to make a new form and new role just for this purpose as the forms our sales reps use are very customized and he'll still need to have those same restrictions moving forward. 

Is there any way to show the tab for this one sales rep through scripting?  I can't seem to find anything in the help but I thought i'd check here.  Thanks in advance.
