Script to restrict number of item in cart when a certain Coupon code is used.

Is there is a way that I can limit a coupon code to only being able to be accepted if there is 1 of a particular item in the cart? (i know i can limit it to discount a certain number), but wanting to know if I can limit the number of items in the cart so that people can only buy one item on discount. Thinking scripting is a solution but can't write it. Any ideas/suggestions or if someone would write me the script, that would be great. Thank you.
