How to get window.open to open a full window

Hello,

Whenever I use window.open in NetSuite, it opens a pop-up style window with no tool bars.  The desired behavior is that it opens either a new browser tab instead, or opens a new window with toolbars and stuff enabled.  I've tried using the options attributes in the window.open call, but they seem to all get ignored.  What am I doing wrong here?  I'm using Chrome on a Mac, in case it matters.
