Create a Customer and Vendor using Other Relationship

Is it possible to create a new customer and a new vendor whilst using the 'Other Relationship' link so they are a single record?  This is possible in the user interface but i really need to be able to do this within a scheduled script.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks
