How to pass parameters to function after Suitelet form is submitted.
Hi,
I am new to Suitelets and was hoping someone could help me understand how to pass parameters to a function which runs after a user submits a Suitelet form. Right now I am getting the values in the Suitelet form and can successfully run a function when the form is submitted, however the parameters that I pass to the function come in as null values. What am I missing?
The following is sample code that should illustrate what I am trying to do.
function htmlSuitelet(request, response) { if (request.getMethod() == 'GET' ) { var recId = request.getParameter('ID'); var test = 'test 1'; var form = nlapiCreateForm('Test Form'); var testValue = form.addField('custpage_year', 'text', 'Please enter test value', null, null); form.addSubmitButton('Submit'); response.writePage( form ); } //Run the following code when the form is submitted else{ testFunction(test, recId, testValue); } } function testFunction (test, recId, testValue) { //All these values come in as null nlapiLogExecution('DEBUG', 'Test', test); nlapiLogExecution('DEBUG', 'Record ID', recId); nlapiLogExecution('DEBUG', 'testValue', testValue); }
