SSS_TIME_LIMIT_EXCEEDED

I keep getting SSS_TIME_LIMIT_EXCEEDED from couple of scripts; scheduled script and user event script.
It started only after the recent release.
Is this a bug? Is there a work around? What is the time limit for a scheduled/user event script?
