Delete Record in 2015.2

A new feature was added in 2015.2 to allow organizations to require there users to provide a reason for deleting a transaction. The feature works great in the UI, but I see no mention of nlapiDeleteRecord being extended to allow record deletion via script to also specify a deletion reason. Does anyone know if this is available?
