nlapiSendEmail conditional email body

Hello,

I have a couple questions regarding scripting and email. I am using the nlapiSendEmail  function to send as attachment the pdfs we are printing

1 - How can I use an email template using this funcion? I have tried the internal id of the template as body argument but had no sucess
2 - If 1. is not possible, can i insert conditional email bodys using if statements? I could not find a syntax that would work.

Any help would be very helful.

I can share the code I am writing if it is required or you feel curious.
