Erroneous recalculation of shipping cost via scheduled script

Hello,

We have a low impact scheduled script that will load a sales order, perform an nlapiSetFieldValue on a custom field and then submit the record. For some reason, on all orders it touched this morning, it triggered a recalculation of the native shipping cost field ("shippingcost"). Since realtime shipping rates fluctuate from day to day, this caused an unexpected update to the total on multiple orders, some billed.

Has anyone noticed similar behavior recently?
