Script needed to populate field on custom record.
Currently we are using a custom record to track modifications to sales orders. On the custom record we can populate a custom field that ties it back to the Sales Order but we also want it to populate a custom field with the Revenue Arrangement # from the Sales order. We have tried other methods which have resulted in an error. We also have a search that will pull the Sales Order number as well as the associated Arrangement but can't get it to populate our custom field on the custom record.
Are there any pros out there who could direct me on how to use scripting to pull the data from the search and populate the custom field? Most likely we would want to do it on create.
