Effect of Proper Case in SEO Friendly URL
What are the pros and cons of using proper case in URL's?
Plus:
1) In the search engine results pages (serps), the URL is going to be easier to read.
2) Potentially "Different, enough" to cause the user to click.
3) In our experience, proper case in the display URL of PPC ads has a positive impact on click through. (MySite.com is better than mysite.com)
Con:
1) www.mysite.com/best-url is not the same as www.mysite.com/Best-Url. You get a 404 error. This is my anxiety.
Google does not seem to have an issue with it. My worry is something like pricegrabber, etc, where they would take the proper case of the URL and set it to lower case.
