Subtotal less than added product price

The prices displayed on our WSDK site include VAT, but the subtotal in basket shows figure without VAT. This surely cannot be right? Looks totally odd to have the subtotal in basket less than an actual item added.

Does anyone have same problem and if yes, what did you do to change this?
