WSDK and NetSuite Hosted Site

Is it possible to enable the WSDK as secondary site?  Right now, NetSuite hosted site is enabled and up and running but would like to also now link into an external catalog;  I see when I look at enabling NOTE: NOT RECOMMENDED IF YOU USE OR PLAN TO USE THE WEB SITE HOSTING FEATURE." Would you please clarify this? We, are using the web site hosting features, but had hoped to be able to also use the WSDK features... What is the apparent conflict, or what should we be aware of before using the WSDK
