Layout for published saved search

We have a simple item search that we have published as a saved search to the web store. We would like the search results to display on the web store using our own customized layout/templates.

When publishing the saved search, we set the appropriate item list layout. No matter what we do, the search results are displayed using the regular dense item list layout.

For the curious, the search is at http://shopping.netsuite.com/s.nl/c.TSTDRV231585/sc.23/category.71/ctype.SS/SS.160/.f

Are we missing something? Is this a known problem?
