Category/Item list template w/ sort

I would like to offer a choice to display item list sorted by price or alphabetically. Does anyone have a solution?

I could create duplicate lists, apply templates with both scenarios and then hard code links to each...that seems redundant....is there an easier way with Javascript to just swap the template applied to the list?
