ok looking to implement a small form on the home page of my site to capture first name, surname and email address similar to the form on this site:

what i am wondering is has anyone done this already? and if yes how did you store this information, was it as a lead or custom record?

i initally thought yes use the custom record route but you then loose the ability to handle unsubscribes etc like you can in the lead record.

any pointers????
