Hide option from customer category

On one form we want to show the drop-down for our customer categories, but only show three options out of four. Is there a way to achieve that?
We tried with the standard Javascript/DOM way to achieve that, but it seems to interfere with Netsuites scripts.
It would be helpful if someone could let us know how we achieve our objective...
