Setting Up a Blog as a SubDirectory

We are are planing to set up a blog for our website http://www.oyacostumes.ca. I have looked at the option of subdomain (ie www.blog.mywebsite.com) vs subdirectory (www.mywebsite/blog). It seem from a SEO prespective it is better to set it up as a subdirectory. We are planning to use wordpress as the bloggging platform.
Has any one done this with their Netsuite website?
