Location not coming over on Web Orders

When orders are placed on our website, the location is not set on the sales order and is blank.  Any idea how to remedy this issue?  I read about having to script to accomplish this, but the online instructions don't help a lot with where in the system to go and create the script and then how to attach it to the site.  It doesn't seem very cut and dry.  Can anyone shed some light on this?
