Reference Checkout 2.05, Gift Certificate in cart, shipping method must be selected

We've recently installed Reference Checkout 2.05 and it's going well. We have the multi-page version.

When we add only a Gift Certificate to the cart, and try to checkout we can't get past the Choose Delivery Method screen.

First off: is there a way to not have the Choose Delivery Method screen appear at all if there is on a download like a Gift Certificate in the cart? What settings do I need to change?

Second: if that screen must be shown, can we make it so the Shipping Method is no longer mandatory if only a gift certificate is in the cart.
