Adding Paypal Credit Button to Reference Checkout

We would like to add the option for customers to checkout via paypal credit to our Reference Checkout. It is a pretty simple block of code to ad, which paypal generates for you, and I thought it would be easy to paste into a template. However I am a bit confused about where to do that in Reference Checkout. The Paypal Template would seem to be the logical choice, but it looks like the buttons that govern 'continue to paypal' are controlled somewhere else. Has anyone added paypal credit checkout buttons to their Reference Account?
