Accounting Period (Quarterly) on Custom Records
Maybe I'm missing the obvious, but I can't quite figure out how to do the following.
I'm creating a custom record for employees to track their quarterly objectives. It's a pretty simple record:
Employee
Department (sourced from Employee)
Accounting Period*
Objective Title
Objective Description
The question I have, is when I use Accounting Period I'm only given the option to select months (eg. July 2009). How would I go about getting a list of "quarters" (eg. 2009Q3) for my users to select? Do I just need to create a custom list? I was hoping I could use accounting period so that it would map to other financial reports. Any input would be helpful.
