Converting Custom List to Custom Record on 500,000+ records??
I am concerned and wanted to see if anyone has done something similar if it presented any problems or worked as expected.
I have a client who has more than 500,000 case records in their system. On the case they have a field referencing a custom list. I need to convert this custom list to a custom record so I can expand on the functionality but I am concerned with:
1. When I execute the conversion, how long will it take the system to convert 500,000 plus references on existing records (or is it done quietly in the background). This is important because we are doing this on production and only have a small window of down time so can't afford discovering that the process takes hours...
