The (sometimes) insufferable woes of Netsuite
There are times when I truly enjoy working with Netsuite. I've found it pretty damn flexible and I have always been able to (one way or another) get what I want or need out of it.
There are other times that I want to punch it in the throat.
Take for example the issue that plagued me for an hour or two today: From a partner login, on a custom record trying to set a custom field to the ID of the current user. Default Current User of course, right? Nope - Doesn't work. EVEN THOUGH PRINTING USER.ID in a text field returns the correct user. Two hours of gouging my eyes out later I finally gave up, created a workflow and set the field there. Why in the world is there a difference?
