Reference from another item in a formula
I need to create a custom item field for a child record that sources information directly from the parent. i know that the parent is not available as a search join but i was thinking i might get around that by identifying the internal id of the parent in a formula. Then i could write a simple script that would populate a custom field on the child record with the parents internal id when the item is created and saved. I'm not sure what the syntax of the formula would/could be (if possible). I dont know sql, but in the
