Foreign reference field and SUM capabilities
I am trying to create a field on the customer record that will show a sum of the values of related group of records. I am under the impression that this could be done in the default value of a custom entity field, but am not sure hot to get there.
Explanation: I have a custom record type called Historical Residuals (customrecord14) which is a child of Customer (through a field named custrecord104). On the Historical Residuals record there is a field called Residual Income (custrecord77). There is one Historical Residual record for each Customer each month. On the main page of the Customer record, I would like to display a sum of the Residual Income for that Customer.
