Subtabs / Sublists

Hello,

Subtabs and sublists created through UI (Setup->...) are custom elements by definition. Is it possible to use them in scripts as other custom subtabs and sublists, which created by scripts? If yes, then how to find their Internal IDs (custpage????)? If no, then is there any serious reason for that?
