Custom PDF Transaction Layout

I created new elements and used the field id {companyname} to pull in the company name. Simple enough right. It won't pull it in. I can pull in {custbody_firstname} and {custbody_lastname} without any problem. Anyone have an idea to why it won't pull in the company name?
