Item Link on Transaction

I am trying to create a script to populate a field I created for the 'Column' record that will call the url of the item on our webstore that is entered onto a sales order.  This can't be workflowed. I thought it would be simple but it is turning out to be beyond my programing skilles limited as they are. 

The intention is for sales people to be able to pull up item information really quickly.

Any thoughts on this?
