Associating Transaction Form PDF Layout to Opportunity Form

I am trying to associate a PDF layout for Opportunity records, but the "Printing Type" is not an option when I customize the form. Are Transaction Form PDF Layouts not supported for Opportunity records even though they are considered a Transaction?
