Transaction Body Field with null value.

Hi,
I have added a new custom transaction body field to the custom form, so I can display the value. However, sometime the value is null. How can I replace the null value to something else I want? Maybe in the formula field? Can someone please help me a little on the formula?

ERROR: Field 'status' Not Found   <<< something like this. I want to replace it with other error message.
