Error for Phone Number field in a custom record.
We have a custom field of type "Phone Number" on a custom record. Basically it duplicates the office phone # on the Customer --> General Contact record.
The Phone on the General Contact record accepts (123)-456-7890 ext 12345 == 24 characters .... when scripting duplicates this phone number in the custom record --> custom field of type = Phone number I get the "error custrecord_insp_sitecontact_phone contained more than the maximum number ( 21 ) of characters allowed"
Why would the General Contact Phone field allow > 21 and the custom record field won't.
Any work around to this you can suggest?
