Quantity Unit of Measure different than Price Unit of Measure
We have a requirement where the quantity UOM on a sales order to be different than the price unit of measure. This is very common in paper, formica counter covering. For example a customer may order 100 Pounds (LBS) of Paper at a price of 10 Hundred Weight (CWT)
Today the Amount on a sales order detail does not have to necessarily extend from quantity * price, but I heard this is going to be changed in a future release.
Seems out of the box this is not possible. I was thinking it would be lots of work with custom fields and scripts since all reporting would have to consider these UOM differences.
