Advanced PDF/HTML Template vs Custom Transaction Body Field handling of Date Formats
Thought I’d throw out this interesting difference on date format handling, for anyone who is looking for an example.
I’ve an Advanced PDF/HTML Credit Memo Template that displays the Due Date from the source Invoice… one level back.
Inside the template, using
${record.createdfrom.duedate} the result displayed is: 2016-02-12 00:00:00.
However, from a Custom Transaction Body Field, ID: custbody_duedate, STORE VALUE = No, TYPE=Date, DEFAULT VALUE = {createdfrom.duedate}, FORMULA = Yes,
and inside the template, using
${record.custbody_duedate}, the result displayed is: 02/12/2016
Just wanted to supply a working example.
