Can't see current month items on prior month reconciliation

Depending on how late in the month it is when I receive the bank statements, the previous month that I need to reconcile is already closed. In that case, if I need to make an adjustment I have to process it in the current month. Until now I've been able to see and check of a current month item in order to reconcile the previous month's bank balance. Now I can only see items posted in the previous month. Is there a setting or preference I can change so that I can see current postings?
