Items disappeared from Reconciliation

I was partially finished with my reconciliation and did a Hold (not a Save). When I go back into the bank reconcilation all of the items I had checked are gone. When I go to the bank register, the items do not show as cleared so I can't uncheck them to put them back on the reconciliation. What do I do?
