Import Online Banking Issue

I am trying to import an online credit card statement.

The transactions all download as -(negative) amounts for charges and + amounts for payments to the card.  Which is probably correct - but - When I need to add a charge it wants to add as a + amount and then tells me the transaction is not in balance.

What am I doing wrong?
