How to create a sortable Date/Time search column
As you may or may not know NetSuite doesn't have a DateTime Type available for custom fields. There are a couple different approaches to working with date and time data, the one I use is two fields; a Date field and a Time of Day field.
For example, on a customer record we have a Follow up Date and Follow up Time field. When looking at a list of leads we want to filter and sort on these fields. We filter out any records with a follow up Date more than a day out and sort by the follow up date and time.
