Creating Searches

Once I have a search I would like to be able to add notes to a line transaction in the search on that search page.  Is that possible? Does anyone know of anyway I can do this?  The only way I thought would work with the inline editing didn't really work cause I can't pull from the bottom of the transaction, in the search I have main line = true.  Any ideas?
