Sort Graphed Results

I have a sales order by month search which I'm displaying the results of on a graph. I've grouped by a formula text field showing the month, and a count on the Trans Number.

When I have the results sort by "date" it puts the lowest volume month first, and the highest last. When I sort results by the formula text field it sorts them alphabetically. Is there anyway to get the month axis to display chronologically?
