Transaction Total Before Gift Certificate Applied

Hello all,
We have a transaction search that has the amount as one of the result columns.  Problem is the amount is the amount after gift cards are applied.  The user wants the amount before gift cards are applied.  I cannot find any available column that has that amount.  Does anyone know how to get this amount?  I can't even find the gift card amount applied to add a formula to try and get the amount.  Any ideas?
