Backing out a commission schedule

We have an employee where we inadvertently added duplicate commission schedules to his plan.  They calculate the same thing and now I need to remove one of them.  We have never paid or authorized commissions against the erroneous schedule.  When I try and remove the schedule, I get the error " You have attempted to remove an active schedule from a plan. Removing this participant is not permitted once commissions against the plan have been generated."  I ran all my commission reports and the only place the saw the erroneous schedule generating commissions is in Estimated Commissions.  I removed the
