Mass Update Items

I want to mass update some items. I thought the beszt way woudl be to export items as a CSV then re-import the changes.

The problem is that there appears to be no existing way of exporting to a CSV that exactly matches the item import template.

Instead I have to create a custom view that includes all the fields. This seems to be a rather large ommission by NetSuite unless I am missing where this is actually possible?
