How can I track inbound shipments

I'm a real newbie here (9 days), so I appreciate everything I've seen in the group.

We import giftware from Central Europe.  As such, we know what has been stuffed in a container two to three weeks before we can devan.  We need to see the data so we can plan shipping and sales can start to make promises.

What is the most elegant solution to my problem?
